General Information

The Speedy model came in silver or black, early Speedy's had "MODOLO SPEEDY" stamped into the alloy arm and levers and filled with paint, black on silver and white on black. Later Speedy's had "Speedy MODOLO" painted on the alloy arm's finish and only MODOLO on the levers, black on silver and white on black. Standard reach - 46 to 58mm, compact reach - 40 to 52mm.


Modolo supplied brakesets for the 1984(?) La Vie Claire team, in the team's graphics scheme based on the work of painter Piet Mondriaan.

Business starts in 1952 by Adamo Modolo in Santa Lucia di Piave, Italy with the production of steel brake levers. After becoming well known for bicycle brakes and brake levers their focus in the 1990s switched over to bars and stems and later again to wheel sets. Modolo's philosophy is to combine italian flair with innovative development in bicycle components.
