General Information

History
Helyett was a manufacturer of bikes and motorcycles, created by the Picard brothers in Sully-sur-Loire in the Loiret, 15km south of Paris. In the 1930's, the brand's workshops numbered around 50 people. In 1962, Helyett was sold to Griffon establishments. Helyett was both a consumer brand and a prestigious bicycle builder for professionals such as Jacques Anquetil, who, on a Helyett bicycle, established the 1-hour record in Milan in 1956, averaging 46 km / h. The Helyett logo depicts a young girl, covered with a regional head-dress. In 2017, an evocative book written by Grégory Couturier, "Helyett: In Progress, Always in the Lead", illustrates this very nice brand.
