General Information
Brooks introduced this saddle between 1920 & 1923. It was advertised as a sports saddle for 12's & 24's. It is a larger version of the ubiquitous B.17 Champion Narrow but is 1.5 inches longer and 1 inch wider. A large saddle. Initially the saddle bag loops were cut into the leather above the cantle plate. From around 1935 the loops were incorporated into the steel of the cantle plate as in the example illustrated here. Good examples of this saddle are scarce.
