General Information
The SA 12 is vey similar to the SA 02 with just 2 slight variations. First, the metal arm which carries the cable stop is slightly different in that the cable stop element is directed to the front of the derailleur (to the backside with the SA 02). Second, the SA 12 has one additional adjustment screw and a slightly modified housing to build a port with a threading for that screw. It is located just underneath the red oil housing cap. With this additional screw its is possible to adjust/restrict the derailing cage horizontal movement in both directions (the other adjustment screw is the horizontal M3 screw at the opposite side of the housing. Generally, the SA 12 appears much rarer as compared to the frequently see SA 02. The pictures show an SA 12 from 1977 or 1978 with the typical design element of the brazed on circular platelet on the top right of the front plate.
