| According to disraeligears it is based on the Simplex Vallée and was also produced by Simplex. See the inner plate of the parallelogram and the location of the spring. Though the adjusting srews are located like on the DA-7402 means both parallelogram plates are modified. |

| Simplex made both a “Velo” and a “Tandem” version of this derailleur. The Tandem version is wider.
Part numbers 319b, 414, 416, 419, and 420 appear to be longer on the Tandem version.
