| This was the top of the line seat post from Gipiemme with the cut out in the upper aero section. Today they are very hard to find. |

| They are of superb quality. The surface finish is breathtakingly excellent. They are by all means working as good as Campagnolo Record high flange pista hubs. |

| I purchased a new SEKAI 2500 in 1977 with this generation of hubs (I had the thread-on freewheel version, not the cassette version, but it had the same oiler holes and QRs and was otherwise identical). I remember seeing these advertised together with the Shimano 600 1st-generation group (3-armed touring crank) in the late 1970s in Bicycling Magazine. |

| I designed the hubs, quick releases, seatposts and bottle cages for Weyless. The office was initially in the mint in Rochester, NY and moved to Stamford, CT. I worked there from 1975-1976 as a product designer and to set up manufacturing. |

| Almost 20 years later now but I just wanted to say that these were also released without the 'Simplex' engraved upon the top of each shifter & sold by Mavic as their '820' model, which typically paired with their 851 rear mech' & preceded their indexed '821' model DT shifters. |
