As far as I know it was a high end rim at the time.
Michelin (Miche)Radiator10/08/2025 06:13 PM
A high flange version was also available. People who have them rate them as high quality hubs.

First picture shows the earlier version in a light bronze finish. Later version comes in the dark finish.

Bebo, Bebolux, Beborex (and other brands) brakes were made by Beley et Bourquin in their factory at Etupes (Doubs), not far from the historic site of Peugeot. https://patrimoine.bourgognefranchecomte.fr/dossiers-inventaire/usine-de-petite-metallurgie-beley-bourquin-actuellement-magasin-de-commerce-ia25001001

These were OE on my 1985 Bianchi Stelvio. A little slippery when wet or your fingers were a little greasy from mid-ride intervention. Friction setting tended to wander a bit. But they looked great on the bike.
Campagnolo 980Zumkopf09/19/2025 02:35 PM
I bought a set of these in 1980 and used them on a winter trainer for several seasons before selling the bike. It did not seem very well built, but then again I thought the same thing of the Nuovo Record. It shifted smoothly enough and never gave any problems. I wouldn't hesitate to put them on a vintage project or training bike.
Campagnolo 980Zumkopf09/19/2025 02:32 PM
Bought a 980 set for a winter trainer back in 1980. Performance was not notably better than the Japanese equivalents, but certainly no worse. Front seemed better constructed than the rear, but never had any failures or even notable issues with either. [Sort of a vanilla review of a vanilla component.]
Campagnolo TriompheZumkopf09/19/2025 02:28 PM
Bianchi used the Triomphe derailleur group for their entry-level racing bike, the Stelvio, in 1985. Very good but not outstanding performers. Shifting was better than average for the price group. Front derailleur seemed more solidly constructed than the rear.
