TDC (Thomas D. Cross) was a major British component manufacturer for much of the 20th century. By the 1980s they appear to have dropped their bicycle component business, but continue to be a supplier of heavy duty industrial gears and equipment. The 3 notch design is unique to TDC, as far as I know.
