| These are 60s/70s thread cutters for the left and right halves of the bottom bracket shell. They were British manufactured items for a Swiss company still producing similar tools today. Although, at a pinch, they may be used for cutting (ie for a one-off frame build), I believe that for the home mechanic these kind of hand tool thread cutters are most suitable for chasing existing threads. |
