General Information
First generation SPD pedal. In 1993, Shimano released several pedals for their new SPD system. The PD-A525 was the "cheaper" version road pedal, similar in construction and materials to the PD-M525 MTB pedal, but one-sided (the release mechanism is only on one side). It was popular back then, even on mountain bikes, due to its rather low weight. There were two colourways, silver (as pictured) and white/purple.
