Known for their black plastic (Delrin) derailleurs during the "bike boom" of the 1970's, they were at the forefront of innovation over the years, producing such highly regarded items as the Super LJ derailleurs, Retrofriction shifters, and very popular line of seat posts.
SX 100 T General description | |
Author: | tmundry67 | | |
The SX 100 T rear derailleur is listed as one of the base models in the 1975 catalogue. Apparently it was only produced from 1975 and maybe 1 or 2 years in addition, after that replaced by the SX 110 having the golden front logo.
Compared to the ubiquitous S001 T which you still find to date very frequently this is somewhat rare but still not something special. Technically and related to quality/finish there are hardly any differences that can be found. Delrin, Zinc coated steel not very light, i.e. quite basic. The embossed front badge is similar to the S001 only the parallelogram plastic houses are of the new SX design and with embossed Simplex sun logo. |
