General Information
The SX 100 T rear derailleur is listed as one of the base models in the 1975 catalogue. Apparently it was only produced from 1975 and maybe 1 or 2 years in addition, after that replaced by the SX 110 having the golden front logo. Thie example appears to be from 1977 which can be seen by the cable attachment bolt with the Typical "donut" design (maybe CPSC related) which was introduced around that year. Compared to the ubiquitous S001 T which you still find to date very frequently this is somewhat rare but still not something special. Technically and related to quality/finish there are hardly any differences that can be found. Delrin, Zinc coated steel not very light, i.e. quite basic. The embossed front badge is similar to the S001 only the parallelogram plastic houses are of the new SX design and with embossed Simplex sun logo. AS with many other Simplex rear deraillerurs of that time it was also available in long cage (GT) version. As well 2 options for atatchment were available, one with the special bolt and frame screw (Simplex Design - mainly created for Simplex dropouts) and standard with hanger/claw for dropouts without derailleur thread (eye).

Known for their black plastic (Delrin) derailleurs during the "bike boom" of the 1970's, they were at the forefront of innovation over the years, producing such highly regarded items as the Super LJ derailleurs, Retrofriction shifters, and very popular line of seat posts.
