Headbadge Information
Pat Clark and Dean Kent founded Clark-Kent in 1989. The firm was an early builder of Greg Lemond branded road and mtb frames in steel and titanium. Clark-Kent sponsored the Coors Light domestic pro team and the elite junior Horsetooth Racing Team in 1993. C-K's early output is generally considered good, but later (especially outsourced Ti frames) frames were reputed to have failure problems. Both steel and titanium frames were TIG-welded, in the beginning by Ivo Vinklarek and Don Herr, later outsourced. Steve Soderman was the regular painter for early frames. The head badge in this photo is of a steel Europa model from early production, welded by Don Herr.
