General Information
The Mavic Bottom bracket reamer is used to add a chamfer to the edge of the bottom bracket shell on the frame. This tool must be used when installing a Mavic bottom bracket because the Mavic bottom bracket does not use the frame threading to hold the bottom bracket in place. The two bottom bracket cups have a mating internal chamfer which engages with the newly cut frame chamfers when the 2 cups screw in toward each other utilizing the external threads on the Mavic bottom bracket cartridge. I will list a Mavic bottom Bracket in a later listing

Mavic is best known for its lightweight aluminum rims and complete wheels, which they continue to produce today.  They also produced a full range of drive train components in the past.  Mavic made a failed attempt to popularize an electronic shifting system in the early 90's.
