General Information
This is a very rare red Tour de France "Catch" points jersey.  Most people have never heard of a 'red' jersey because it was dropped from usage as an award for a mid-stage points leader. I guess it confused people and it was discontinued from usage.  It was used in the early to mid-1980s.  Most people are most familiar with the yellow, green and white jerseys that are used today, but there used to be a multi-color jersey too that had patches of green, yellow and white just as Greg Lemond and Bernard Hinault wore in the 1986 Tour de France. This is probably the rarest jersey from the Tour de France.
